There is a lot to see and do in Vietnam, which is why Vietnam tours are becoming so popular these days. Vietnam is the perfect place for those who want to go on an adventure, or for those who just want to relax and enjoy the scenery. Our superb trips, organised in conjunction with one of Asia’s best established tour companies, Exotissimo, will leave you with memories for a lifetime.

Cat Tien National Park is a great place to visit while in Vietnam because it has so much to offer. It is a 72,000 hectare (277.9 square mile) park that offers biodiversity with its lowland tropical rain forest. While at the park, visitors can enjoy hiking, bird watching, mountain biking, and so much more.

Cat Tien National Park

One of the most amazing things about Cat Tien National Park is the animals and creatures that dwell there. There is thought to be about 326 different species of birds, which makes for some great bird-watching. The park also houses about 100 different types of mammals. Reptiles and amphibians are also present in high numbers in this park. Many of the creatures that dwell in Cat Tien National Park are thought to be rare and endangered, so seeing them there is truly a treat.

There are different ways that one can go about exploring this park. It can be done on foot, by bicycle, in a four-wheel drive, or by boat. When exploring by boat, a guide will take visitors along the Dong Nai River that borders the park. This is a great way to enjoy a boat ride while also seeing the beauty that the park has to offer.

There are many hiking trails that one can explore, but it is necessary to do so with a guide to avoid getting lost or running into trouble. An experienced guide will be able to make the hike much easier and less confusing for all.

If visiting overnight, a trip to Crocodile Swamp is highly recommended for visitors. Many of the animals in the park visit the swamp at night to drink, which gives visitors the opportunity to get a good view of the variety of creatures that are actually living in the park.

Since there is so much to enjoy, a visit to Cat Tien National Park should be a part of any Vietnam visit. With the beautiful rain forest and the large variety of wildlife, this is a must see, especially for those who love nature. There is nothing like hiking in the park and seeing the monkeys and elephants roam. It is definitely an experience like no other and is not one that anyone will soon forget. In fact, many people who visit the park enjoy it so much that they end up coming back again at some point.

There are some things you should know about travelling in Cambodia. Cambodia is a constitutional monarchy inhabited by around 15 million people, a majority of which belong to the Khmer tribe. It borders Laos on the North , Vietnam to the East, and Thailand to the West. It has an area of 181,140 kilometers and 443 kilometers of coastline on the Gulf of Thailand. The tourism industry is Cambodia’s second largest source of hard currency following the textile industry. The main asset of Cambodia is its people. The tribe of Khmer has endured many years of war and poverty. It is hard not to admire the Khmers for their strength and spirit.

The Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda in Phnom Penh

Two main attractions in Cambodia are the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda in Phnom Penh. They stand by one another on Sothearos Boulevard. Although they are to single building, they are visited as one. The Royal Palace consists of numerous buildings with the Thorne hall ranking the most important. Next to Thorne hall is a 59 meter tower. South of the Royal Palace is the Vila of Napoleon III presented as a gift to Cambodia in 1866 and Royal Treasury. The Silver Pagoda is located on the Northern section of the palace grounds. It was constructed from mainly wood by King Norodom and extended in 1962 by Sihanouk. The name derives from the 5000 silver blocks which weigh greater than six tons. Another highlight of Cambodia is the Bayon temple built in the 13thcentury. It has fifty- four towers which are decorated with four smiling faces. Other tourist attractions include Cambodia’s only port, Sihanoukville, Choeung Ek Genocidal Museum, and the area around Kampot.

Cambodian travel can be either inexpensive or expensive relying on your tastes. You can stay at a dorm-style guest house for $2-$4 USD or rent a private room for $6-$10 USD. If you want extras like satellite TV and hot water, it will cost you $20 USD. A five-star hotel will cost $50 USD per night. A budget-conscious traveler can stay in Cambodia for $20 or less USD. A Meal typically cost $2-$5 at major tourists spots, but be prepared to spend more for drinks. Drinks average around $1 USD.

When traveling to another country, be certain to study the etiquette, laws, and customs. You also have to be aware of security issues. A travel agent can assist you with the information you need as well as online resources.

We’ve been taking people to Vietnam for many years and it’s always one of the best, most reliable places for a Winter getaway. The people are incredible, the weather is flat out gorgeous, and the sea is that kind of aquamarine blue you just never forget once you’ve  seen it. It’s not surprise the producers of James Bond have used it for several of other movies because Vietnam is exoticism personified, at least outside the cities. In the cities, like much of Asia, the economy is leaping forward and there’s a surprisingly modern vibe, with pumping nightclubs, gourmet restaurants and a lot of great museums. We use our partners at Backyard Travel, for this phenomenal tour.

If you want a holiday that’s going to blow your mind, here’s what we recommend. First, take a boat trip up through the magical islands, made of limestone, in the region of Halong Bay. From there, head into the mountains called Cao Bang, where you can do fantastic trekking and make contact with some of the traditional Vietnamese tribal peoples, a gentle and refine group who will show you an ancient way of life that much of the country has forgotten.

After this, with aching limbs from all that trekking it might be time for some sun and sand, so  head to the majestic white beaches, secluded coves and gentle inlets of the area called Con Dao Islands. This is the place to sip coconuts, pick up a bit of a tan, and enjoy some massage and spa treatments. Finally, you’ll be ready for the madness and clamour of Hanoi, Vietnam’s capital city. This thousand year old city offers a quintessential South Asian experience of clamouring Vespas, street food so spicy it will burn the roof of your mouth off, neighbourhood karaoke joints which the locals love, old Buddhist temples full of peaceful monks intent on the search for enlightenment. Despite something of a pollution problem, Hanoi is truly one of the great cities of Asia. You’ll love your time here.

The clearest travel trend emerging within the industry during the last decade has been the proliferation of business travelers attending large venue events. This trend has provided opportunities for the Mice Travel industry to expand their expertise to not only arrange travel, but also to organize the events themselves. MICE stands for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions, and these are the types of events MICE travel companies are equipped to set up for their clients.

Meetings – Plenaries, board meetings, annual general meetings, sales team planning sessions, and company training sessions, are some of the meetings included in MICE. This is an easier type of event to organize, but still one where the travel industry can help planners save time and money.

Imagine that a company intends to congregate its international sales force for training on how to engage emerging markets in the Middle East. They want to hold the meeting in a Middle Eastern country that is safe. A reputable travel company that specializes in MICE arrangements would:

  • Identify a relatively peaceful country that has meeting facilities of the right type and welcomes foreigners.

  • Work with event planners to identify all requirements for the meeting (including equipment), approximate number of attendees and where they will be coming from, any passport or visa requirements, and any health restrictions.

  • Reserve meeting rooms in the foreign country and arrange for necessary equipment.

  • Negotiate with a hotel for best guest room rates and the airlines for best group travel rates, including reservation links on the event’s website.

  • Organize and present a final report and expenses, including discounts, to meeting planners afterward.

Incentive Events – All services above are basic to all types of events. Here are additional services MICE travel experts can provide specifically for incentive events. Since incentives are all about motivation and rewards, these types of events are usually celebratory in nature:

  • With event planners, choose an overall theme for the event and arrange to have it carried out.

  • Prepare an itinerary of sights to see or entertainment venues and arrange for tour guides and translators.

  • Arrange for motivating speakers, music, dinner, decor, and drinks.

  • Coordinate and/or acquire prizes, as needed.

Conferences/Conventions – In addition to all of the services above, there are unique features about conferences that MICE travel experts can help with:

  • Book a convention center with hotels nearby.

  • Set up and staff conference check-in and refreshment tables.

  • Coordinate the preparation of conference packets for attendees.

Exhibition/Trade Shows - This is the most complicated kind of event to organize, so here is where MICE travel expertise can be exceptionally helpful. It includes all of the above services and also:

  • Set up a trade booth hall with tables in the convention center and display areas for posters.

  • Secure additional rooms for workshops.

  • Provide an information table along with registration, refreshment tables, and extra transportation to and from the airport.
